Thank you for your interest in helping with this year's MR340. This event only happens because of our awesome corps of volunteers at boat ramps, checkpoints, and the finish line!


Here's a little more info about what MR340 volunteer experiences are like:

MR340 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteering options include a variety of roles. Some of our most common volunteer needs include the following:

KAW POINT RACE START (Kansas City)

  • Monday - Help with a variety of Pre-Race Check-In duties
  • Tuesday - Race Day early morning parking assistance

RAMP MANAGEMENT (Along the entire race route)

  • Physical labor involving lifting and carrying boats while getting feet wet
  • Setting up Checkpoints or Paddlestops
  • RaceOwl assistance
  • Parking, ramp and trash management
  • Offering local and race course knowledge to questioning ground crews and racers

LEWIS & CLARK BOAT HOUSE RACE FINISH (St. Charles)

  • Physical labor involving lifting and carrying boats while getting feet wet
  • Identifying incoming racers to finish line
  • Electronic recording finish times of racers
  • Manually logging finish times of racers
  • Handing out medals and trophies to racers
  • Assisting race staff with data management
  • Errand running
