MR340 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteering options include a variety of roles. Some of our most common volunteer needs include the following:
KAW POINT RACE START (Kansas City)
- Monday - Help with a variety of Pre-Race Check-In duties
- Tuesday - Race Day early morning parking assistance
RAMP MANAGEMENT (Along the entire race route)
- Physical labor involving lifting and carrying boats while getting feet wet
- Setting up Checkpoints or Paddlestops
- RaceOwl assistance
- Parking, ramp and trash management
- Offering local and race course knowledge to questioning ground crews and racers
LEWIS & CLARK BOAT HOUSE RACE FINISH (St. Charles)
- Physical labor involving lifting and carrying boats while getting feet wet
- Identifying incoming racers to finish line
- Electronic recording finish times of racers
- Manually logging finish times of racers
- Handing out medals and trophies to racers
- Assisting race staff with data management
- Errand running
